Our Mission
Our mission is to act as a resource for Young People living in the London borough of Brent by providing advice and assistance, organising programmes of education and other activities as a means of:
Advancing in life and helping Young People by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals; Advancing Education; Relieving unemployment; Providing recreational and leisure time activities in the interest of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity of disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.
Key Objectives
We want to tackle dis-engagement within the community and help to build stronger communities through facilitating the networking of community members and facilitating their participation in workshops which can be used in the community to make a positive impact.
We want to help people in the community to have a better chance in life, improve their mental well-being and keep higher levels of motivation to strive towards achieving set goals. In an attempt to tackle the problems of unemployment, criminality, gangs, anti-social behaviour and disengagement with society, which are all huge issues in the borough of Brent.
For the public benefit we would like to promote education, training and life skills to people of all ages in the community and to encourage social inclusion, addressing Gang Culture (prevention, intervention and exit pathways), community engagement and improved well-being via workshops, Information, Advice & Guidance and motivational activities.
